Blogging -
a flash in the pan?
a sign of the times?
or a pain in the neck?
Will the world still be blogging in 5 years? in 10 years?
Only time will tell...and won't that be fun!
Are we there yet?
Truth be told, this blog was created in March 2009. So when Marnie sent announcement of the Goodrich's new blog today, it seemed the right time to dust off my user-id & password and see where I'd left off. If the past 3 months are any indication of the future then updates here will likely be few and far between; however, in that time there have been great additions, options, updates, etc. to use in creating and maintaining a blog and they're kinda cool. See, sometimes procrastination is a good thing!
Are you DTV ready?
We subscribe to cable here and too many TV's are hooked up to it, well, except for the little TV in Mom's computer room. This time procrastination wasn't a good thing. See, after hooking up the converter box I bought last year (in preparation for the original February 2009 transition, but didn't connect it when the transition date was postponed) the digital picture is as crisp and clear as the cable sets. Hmmm, obviously should have done it earlier, and who'da guessed there would be so many more channels to choose from. The only problem of course is now you need 2 remotes to watch one TV.
Missing the Manning Memories?
In fact the main reason this blog was originally created was its possibility as a replacement for the family newsletter, but after digging in and trying to figure out the logistics (it's all coming back to me now) of setting everyone up as authors and then begging for contributions....well, here we are. You're all on your own, but are welcome to drop in here anytime and see what is, or isn't, going on.
