Did You Know...

I found this little gem while reading through some Fruit Heights City Council meeting minutes as they were discussing budget items.

"The federal government has recently mandated cities clean their streets on a monthly basis."
.

I guess it keeps people employed and streetsweeper manufacturer's in business... but really! How long before they "mandate" we sweep our sidewalks, or have our tires properly inflated?

Then again, maybe it was this picture that got some bureaucrat thinking about the message displayed on this early contraption:

I'd guess this model doesn't qualify.
