Back When...family "road trip"

Before the cherry orchard started producing fruit in abundance, we'd take a 2-week vacation usually in June. In the picture below (1957) we're getting ready to leave for a trip through the northwest. 

and were always happy to return home.

When the cherry harvest took over Dad's 2-weeks of vacation time, our family "road trips" were shortened and distributed to other times of the year, often over Easter weekend.
