it really is quite small
but I suddenly have a hankerin' for their fresh Artichoke Soup.

"We spent a few days here in October 2007 and actually stopped in for the gingerbread w/lemon sauce dessert seen on their online menu (my mother grew up in Carmel and she often made gingerbread w/lemon sauce for us... apparently a concoction of my grandmother's 70+ years ago Mom tells us), but it was lunchtime so we did the lunch thing. As a family we love artichokes but were a bit cautious about artichoke soup. WOW!! what a delight!!! Perfectly flavored, not too strong and not too mild... we came away devotees. Too bad we live over 1000 miles away."

One of these days I'll have to be brave and try an artichoke
