Wag The Dog (?)

Okay, if you avoid political stuff, for whatever reason:
"Too boring."
"I don't care."
"Doesn't interest me."

Then there will be occasional times you miss out on some fun  One of those times happened a few weeks back when the 'evil bad awful' Democrats went back to old history and resurrected an old story about 'evil bad awful' Mitt Romney who had put the family dog Seamus in a carrier/kennel and strapped it to the top of the family station wagon while driving to their family vacation destination back in 1985 or so. At that time an Obama advisor tweeted this picture...

with the words:  "How loving owners transport their dog."

In the meantime another journalist found reference to, and reminded everyone, that Obama wrote in his memoirs that as a child he'd eaten grasshoppers, snake, and.....wait for it....DOG meat.

Shortly after, Romney advisor Eric Fehrnstrom put the above photo in a tweet: "In hindsight, a chilling photo."

Reading about that made me laugh.  Who'd a thunk that stuffy Romney campaign had a sense of humor?!

Then came the jokes..

Q: What does Obama call Romney's dog Seamus?
A:  Meals on Wheels.

Q: Why did Romney put his dog on the roof of the car?
A: So Obama wouldn't eat it.

Q: What kind of meat did Obama eat?
A: Weiner-schnitzel

Q: Why would Obama never put a dog on the roof?
A: Dries out the meat.

Then Twitter had a dog recipe contest:
German Shepherd Pie
Tuna Poodle Casserole
Bo-B-Q
TerrierYaki
Chinese ChowChow Mein
Chicken Poodle Soup
Hound Cake
Chili con Corgi
...well,, you get the idea.

Oh, it was just too fun.  And another big "backfire" for the Obama campaign.

  1. All the nit picking is so crazy. I'm glad someone has a sense of humor. Go Romney!
