Once again our friends "Riders In The Sky" will be doing what I call a Family Friendly Fun for FREE (it doesn't get any better that that!) concert in Layton at the Ed Kenley amphitheater in Layton Commons Park on Monday, July 25th at 8:00pm; gates open at 6:30pm. Bring your lawn chair, blanket, food to knosh on, wampum to spend at Too Slim's Mercantile or even to buy an over-priced burger or bottle of water at the concession stand.
Ya, I know not everyone is interested or is able to come but thought I'd share some video's I found. Luv YouTube. Here's a few videos to get you in the mood -- or not.
Chucklie's favorite about how the Yodel Was Born
this one goes back a few years, well maybe more than a few years.
from 1981 here are Woody Paul's fiddling skills and Too Slim dancin' moves. Someone referred to it as Cowboy Woodstock. This is back in Woody Paul's long-hair-ponytail days.
a bit more current is this medley with Toy Story 2 snippets.
and finally (yes, finally) based on the gray hair this is more current but the silliness is the same, or at least eerily similar to 1981. Over the years, one thing is for sure: their shirts have changed.
Enjoy, after all "It's the Cowboy Way" and if you can't make the free concert you've gotten over 10 minutes of entertainment right here!
p.s. no compensation fees were taken for this promotion. ha ha.
